Product Description
Therapeutic indicationsAceclofenac Tablets are used for the relief of inflammation and pain in ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
Posology and administration method :
Oral administration is recommended with a sufficient liquid-quantity.
Adults
The suggested dose is 200 mg every day, taken as two different 100 mg doses.
Pediatric population
Not recommended for children below 18 years.
Elder
The elder ones suffering from broken renal, hepatic or cardiovascular or function are more inclined to the risk of serious consequences. The patient should regularly visit for GI bleeding during the therapy of NSAID.
The pharmacology of Aceclofenac are not changed in aged patients, hence it is not necessary to change the dosage or its frequency.
Hepatic insufficiency
It has been evidenced that the dose of Aceclofenac should be decreased in patients with hepatic damage and it is recommended that an initial day-to-day dose of 100 mg be utilized.
Contraindications
- Sensitivity to Aceclofenac
- Active or inactive peptic ulcer/haemorrhage
- History of bleeding disorders or active bleeding
- History of perforation or gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Patients with peripheral arterial disease, established congestive heart failure, hepatic failure, cerebrovascular disease, renal failure, or ischaemic heart should be cautious.
